SCE – Green Button Data Download Instructions
- Go to the Southern California Edison website: www.sce.com
- Sign in using User ID & Password
- If you don’t already have an account, you need to register using your account number.
- Click on the "Green Button – Download My Data" icon in the left side menu.
- Set the date range (ideally you want 365 days of recent data).
- Select the "XML Format (.xml)" from the "Download Format" drop-down menu.
- Click the "Download" button (the SCE site usually takes a minute to download the file).
- The file may download in a new window.
- Alternatively, in a Chrome browser you can always hit “Ctrl + J” to open your Downloads folder, where you will see your recently downloaded files.
- The .xml file may download in a compressed Zip file format.
- If you’re going to be emailing the Green Button Data file, email it the Zip file format to keep the size compressed.
- To extract the ‘.xml’ file from the Zip folder > save the Zip file to your desktop, then right-mouse-click on the Zip file to "Extract."

- Log in to pge.com account with username and password.
- Click on “My Usage” tab.
- Select “Download My Data.”
- The file may download in a new window.
- Select “Export usage for specific days” then choose your date range and click “Export.”
